Ich erinnere mich noch sehr genau an den Tag an dem Homebound Records mich mit den Worten „Haben ne neue Band entdeckt!“ anschrieb und mir die ersten Demos dieser Band aus Schottland namens 13Crowes schickte.
Genauso gut erinnere ich mich daran, dass die Songs nach dem ersten Klick einfach mal in Dauerschleife bei mir liefen.
13Crowes.
Auf ihre erste EP The Dividing Line folgte im Juni diesen Jahres ihr Debütalbum Young Poets.
Folk, Punk und Rock´n´Roll verschmelzen zu eingängigen Melodien die im Ohr bleiben. Man hat das Gefühl, die Band bereits zu kennen. Ein Sound, so altbekannt und vertraut und doch so erfrischend neu und anders.
Dazu kommt Cammy´s Stimme der sowohl mit sanften wie auch rauen Tönen überzeugt. Ein Gesang mit Ecken und Kanten, beim dem Gefühl und Emotion nicht zu kurz kommen.
Das erste Mal live gesehen habe ich die Band in Trier, wobei es sich gefühlt eher um eine kleine HomeboundRecords Privatparty handelte. Beim nächsten Gig, ein knappes halbe Jahr später hatte sich die Zuschaueranzahl locker verdoppelt.
Zurecht.
Mit Leichtigkeit sorgen die Schotten für eine familiäre Atmosphäre, suchen stets den Kontakt zum Publikum, stecken jeden mit ihrer guten Laune an und gewinnen damit die Aufmerksamkeit der Zuhörer.
Nach der Tour ist vor der Tour. Die Band war zuletzt im Juni hierzulande unterwegs. Ab morgen wird Cammy (Sänger) zum ersten Mal alleine und mit Klampfe im Gepäck die Clubs und Cafés in Deutschland bespielen.
Die Konzerte werden mit Sicherheit anders als mit Band aber nicht weniger schön. Freut euch auf 13Crowes Songs in der Rohfassung!
Kurz vor der Tour beantwortete Cammy uns noch einige Fragen:
01. You´ll be touring through Germany for two weeks in November. What´s it like to come back without your bandmates?
I’ll miss the boys, I won’t miss loading all the gear in and out the van though! Think I’ll enjoy just having to lift my acoustic guitar!! I’ll be back with the full band in May 2018
02. Any funny tales from the road you´d like to tell us?
Most days are funny when you have a couple of goons like grant and george in your band.
03. If you were to sum up this year so far in a couple of sentences, what would it be?
Very, very busy!!!
04. You´ve got Mick Hargan supporting you on this tour. How would you describe his music?
Mick’s jumping on half the shows I’ve got Panic Anchor coming for full tour, if I were to all our music has similarities we have much less the same influences. I like to surround myself with like minded people. If I were to describe mick and Andy’s ( panic anchor ) it would be some of the most beautiful songs you’ve ever heard, sung by bearded , tattoo sporting angry Scotsmen!
05. What band would you like to open for?
The Gaslight!!! WHEN they get back together 
06. What´s your favorite german word?
Danke, I’m very polite so I use this a lot haha
07. What´s probably the first thing you´ll eat in Germany?
Sorry, but it will be a Big Mac meal, it’s the go to. Essential to kick off any tour in any country. A Big Mac meal is consistent, and reliable!!
08. 13Crowes released their debut record „Young Poets“ this year. What song is your personal favorite one?
That’s a tough one!! I hold every song on that record very close to my heart and am very proud of them all. If I had to pick it would be Golden.
09. First word coming up to your mind when you hear:

10. Anything you would like to add in the end?
